Plasma pipes

Here’s the rest of the pipes that go with that plasma generator that I finished a few weeks ago.  Weathered up a bit of course.  Lots of fun with this terrain .

Nurglings8-9

This one I have the right count on.  Just playing with different colors and what affect they have with each other.

Bearers 29-30

Bad counting again.  Now 30 plague bearers.  Layering again and trying to keep it a fleshy looking as I can.

Pox50-51

Another miscount on models.  NOW I have 50+ painted.  I’m beginning to add layering on these after the contrast start.

Ruins statues3

I know that this isn’t an actual statue, but it goes with the kit.

Moonbase ruins 2

The second one.  I got diverted a bit with the contrast stuff, but now are ready to start putting this stuff back into the que.

Plague brute3

This is the last guy for the gellerpox infected set, except for the main leader dude.  Having a ton of fun blending on the tentacles and really like being able to pull off non pink ones finally.

Plague marines...lost count

I have now lost track of how many I have painted at this point.  These two are getting to have tons of nurgly goodness to them.  The picts aren’t good enough but, you can still see the main color scheme of them sitting here, so I’m pretty stoked!

Ruins statues2

On the other hand.......  The terrain is a dream to work on.  This stuff is so detailed and coming out so smoothly.  It’s really been a welcome surprise.

Bearers29-30

Making things happen.  Trying mixtures of contrast and shades using the mediums.  Line highlighting again in some spots.  Not sure about these two personally, I think it came out a bit blotchy, but Nurgle’s up nicely.  Still trying to get the hang of things I’m afraid.

Ruins statue 1

I haven’t put the terrain projects away at all.  Just trying to insert contrasts into them.  I have a lot of things like this at the moment because, of course, I’m out of my mind with modeling right now.

Pox47-50

I am really punching these guys out now.  Lots of subtle blending attempted on these.  I think I doubled my color count and was using a lot of medium to thin down the base lines.

Gellerpox infected

These 3 were loads of fun.  I was going for a layer up contrast after skinwork. Detailing has become a lot easier now.

Glitchling 2-4

These guys are all done as well.

eyebiter 7-8

These are the last of these guys.  Cuties!

Bearer27-28

Just playing around with all of the new color choices and painting schemes

Contrast PM2

This is getting to be fun with these guys now.  Maybe a little too much rusty goodness, but I envisioned these guys just walking out of the cesspool originally, but just didn’t know how to get there.  AND I kinda liked the clean look on the first dudes I did on this army.  This is what I had in mind though.

Ambot

This is my first contrast paint over a metallic.  Leadbelcher was the base spray and then I went over it with blood angels red(contrast) and then fleshtearrers red(contrast) on the panels.  The rest of the metals were a mix of everything that I have old and new.  I wanted to put some weathering on this guy originally, but scrapped it after he came out so clean.  I went over all of the metallics with basilicanum grey(contrast).  And the lights and heat areas are the 3 new gem paints over the metallics that are there.

The red got a dry brush of cadian fleshtone, and then the yellows went on with the hazard stripes.  Out of practice doing those since the orks, but will get better at it again.

Bearer25-26

One old school and one new school.  The yellow and the tan’s worked well for the general ‘smoothness’ across the models.

Pox45-46

Same thing here.  I think that my next batch of guys will go from purple spectrum at the start.

Nurgling6-7

Really trying to work out the contrasts on these next few.  This one I went from the gray basecoat, then dark to light on the skin.  The horns were the first color of them when I started.

sludgegrub 2-4 and a glitchling

The rest of these little buggers and a new one.  The glitchling is a variant of the nurgling with the extra ability to affect shooting weapons on a very low percentage roll.  A bit of flavor to any 40k death guard force.

eyebiter2-6

The special guys are almost all done.  These are going to be doubling as playing pieces and objectives.

pox 41-44

It really is getting a bit out of hand.

Bearer 20-24

These are the things that can happen when contrast is introduced to your paint kit.
