Group shot

I wanted to get this one in.  I finished all of these guys in about 3 hours start to finish.  This is the real awesomeness of contrast paints.  I still have a lot of playing around with them still, but I haven’t finished this many models in such a short time to this level since I was line painting 2 years ago.

Get some!  Nuff said!

This is from the geller-pox collection.  On this one I drybhushed wraithbone over the zandri dust and then used guilliman flesh on the skin and then dry brushed one of the newer mint green colors over that.  The cloth was a simple contrast with no highlighting and the faces were done with blood angels red and highlighted with cadian fleshtone on the tongues.  The eyes and the warts were done with ianden yellow straight and the metallics were done with stormhost silver and then contrasted with bassilica grey, then rusted up with my normal crusty process.

All in all, I have to say that these new paints are awesome so far.

Contrast again working up from zandri dust and dry brushing skin tones before the gobbly-gook and the eyes and teeth.

Working with the contrast again.  Using it a bit differently with this guy.  I dry brushed the skin after the initial coats and then did another highlight after the warts and other gobbly-gook was done.

This is a guy I’ve been working on for a few weeks now.  The contrast paints came out and I decided to finish him off.  I think this one has too many colors on him and he looks a bit muddled, but I’m definitely happy with him.

CONTRAST!!!!!!!

So....  I went and bought all of them yesterday......A bit over the top, but Hey ‘it’s me’.

This guy was based in my normal Zandri dust spray.  I then coated him with plaguebearer flesh on the skin, voluptuous pink for the guts and flesh tears, and skeleton horde for the bones and teeth and claws.  I then highlighted with ogryn camo on the skin, pink horror on the guts and tears, the pimples got repainted with wraithbone base and then dabbed with gryph-hound orange and then highlighted with yriel yellow.  The sword was painted with warp lightning first and then second coated with basilicanum grey.  Based and rim painted, and nurgle rotted up.

Not too shabby and looks very close to what I’ve been doing.  The difference is that this took about 1 1/2 hours total time from start to finish.  These things are turning into the answer I’ve been looking around for.

I’m going to keep playing and letting you all know the outcomes.
